ADVOCACY

Gambling Recovery Ministries takes on the role of advocate for a wide variety of social concerns with regard to gambling issues. In advocating for those affected, directly and indirectly, by problem gambling, GRM strives to serve as an advocate in the following ways:

• generate and increase public awareness of disordered gambling

• promote and provide programs of prevention and education about gambling addiction and recovery issues

• advocate for quality treatment and encourage support groups for problem gamblers and concerned others

• encourage and play a supportive role for other faith-based entities in their efforts to initiate ministries to persons impacted by gambling addiction
